UFCG has been using Smart Campus techniques since 2019, with the objective of integrating the Internet of things to campus management, teaching and the intra- and inter-organizational collaborations. This study has an exploratory and descriptive nature, with a qualitative approach and a direct documental nature, and for whose development we used the Content Analysis technique and applied a questionnaire to the Smart Campus implementation project manager at UFCG, indicated that the Smart Campus applications combines with the Choo ’ s IM model. UFCG is concerned with identifying information needs, which is acquired through interaction between teachers and students on social networks and distributed through weekly meetings with interest groups, the websites and social networks.
