It is extremely important to equip ships with a fast and effective ballast water treatment system. Taking ship ballast water as the object of study, this paper introduces the common methods of ship ballast water treatment device and the existing problems. To solve these problems or shortcomings, a ship ballast water treatment device is designed by using software AutoCAD2017 from the design requirements of ship ballast water treatment device, and its working principle and main components are introduced. An automatic monitoring system with PLC as the lower computer and LabVIEW as the upper computer is designed.
