A near-infrared spectroscopy system for cerebral oxygenation monitoring
Near-infrared spectroscopy(NIRS) technique uses specific wavelengths of light to make a continuous and noninvasive brain monitoring possible. It has great prospects in biomedical monitoring. We have designed and implemented a NIRS prototype system, with which we recorded the concentration changes of oxyhemoglobin(O2Hb) and deoxyhemoglobin(CO2Hb) during in-vivo experiments. The results showed that this prototype based on NIRS technique has a good performance on detecting biomedical signals about hemodynamic changes in brain.
