A car control system exploiting FieldBus DLL protocol features
The work presented is a case study of the application on the FieldBus protocol to motor cars. The problem of the management of traffic made up of the various actuation and control signals present in a car is addressed, and criteria for allocation of the available bandwidth and assessing the behavior of the FieldBus in various traffic conditions are discussed. The results obtained show that, in the particular case considered, the FieldBus proved to be perfectly capable of meeting the communication requirements of car control systems.<>
