Hence the detection of exact leakage other than the contaminated water from the septic tank is difficult. To resolve this problem, a density sensing system that can sense the density of the colloidal fluid and a sensor that can detect the gases especially methane is placed at the appropriate place on the septic tank with a battery-operated sensing system that needs low maintenance.
