Prior to this period, advanced simulations provided a wealth of information about a part and mold design. A common complaint was that too much time was required to perform an advanced simulation. This is the part of reason for the rise in popularity of desktop CAE tools, which provide fast, useful results for those who wish to improve quality, increase profitability and eliminate inefficiencies in critical product and mold design.
