Current transformer module basing the Jiles-Atherton hysteresis model in EMTP/ATP simulation
The topic of this paper is to construct the module of the current transformer (CT) basing the Jiles-Atherton (J-A) hysteresis model in electromagnetic transient program (EMTP) and alternative transient program (ATP) simulation. The J-A hysteresis model constitutes of first-order ordinary differential equations and has five parameters that can be determined by measurements of hysteresis loop. According to the description of J-A hysteresis model, we can establish the CT module basing J-A hysteresis model using transient analysis of control systems (TACS) in EMTP. Compared with type 96's CT module with hysteresis characteristic, the simulated result of the CT module basing J-A hysteresis model is apparently different in fault transient situation. Therefore, this proposed CT module basing J-A hysteresis model has not only the analysis capability of the transient situation, but also the flexibility of different point of power circuit
