Conducted noise prediction for zero-crossing issue in totem-pole bridgeless PFC converter
This paper focuses on zero-crossing spike current issue in totem-pole bridgeless PFC converter. Spike current occurs at every input voltage zero-crossing and becomes a severe conducted common mode noise source. The zero-crossing issue is discussed by theoretical analysis and mathematical calculation, the conducted noise caused by zero-crossing issue can be predicted by calculating Fourier coefficient of approximate spike current waveform. Based on the analysis, a noise reduction method is proposed to solve zero-crossing issue. Finally, the experiments are achieved on a GaN-based totem-pole bridgeless PFC converter and show that the common mode conducted noise caused by spike current can by reduced effectively.
