Also this paper investigates the performance of three-phase uncoupled and directly coupled Interleaved Boost Converter (IBC) for renewable energy applications. DC-DC Boost Converters serves many purposes. Low output voltage for renewable energy sources such as Fuel cells, Batteries, Photovoltaic cells. Interleaved Boost converter (IBC) has better performance characteristics when compared to a conventional boost converter due to its increased efficiency, reduction in size and greater reliability. IBC consists of a number of boost converters connected in parallel and controlled by the interleaved method which has the same switching frequency and phase shift.
