The current sample date of three phases at the same time is used to identify internal and external fault of bus. The operation time difference of internal fault identification method and external fault identification method also can be used to identify current transformer saturation. The start element performance is not impacted by data window and frequency. The sensitivity of criterion proposed was superior to present criterion.
