Accordingly, the current article addresses industrial-specific communication challenges, presenting some of the relevant solutions. In order to prove the usability of the presented technologies with sound results, this paper utilises a primarily Industrial IoT(IIoT) solution, the Arrowhead Framework, to experiment with communication capabilities between different IIoT clouds. The research is limited to three technologies from the LTE UE categories: Cat 3, Cat Ml and NB-IoT.The novelty of this paper is that it provides a set of experimental studies on applying different mobile networking technologies to support IIoT applications.
