Quasichemical reactions of ions Ce3+ and Ce4+ with holes and electrons causing scintillations are considered. Is shown, that the intensity of scintillations increases with decrease of mean free paths of electrons and holes and that it is proportional to the parameter of the compositional disorder x (1-x).
