A simple and accurate equivalent circuit extraction method of coaxial-to-microstrip discontinuous structure is proposed in this paper. Response surface methodology (RSM) is applied to the extraction of the equivalent circuit of the coaxial-to-microstrip discontinuous structure for the first time. The equivalent circuit is obtained at a wide frequency band 5–40 GHz, and the explicit formulas of the model element for the equivalent circuit are given.
