Patients with comorbidity are more at risk of being infected with COVID-19 with severe clinical manifestations. This challenge requires nurses to be more critical in treating of COVID-19 patients with comorbidity to prevent complications and mortality. This study aimed to explore the nurse’s experiences in caring for COVID-19 patients with comorbidity in private hospital in central of Jakarta. \nMethods: The researcher applied a phenomenological descriptive design. Data were collected using in-depth interview from 12 nurses. The participants were nurses who work in COVID-19 unit and have treated patient COVID-19 with comorbidity obtain purposive sampling. The research conducted from November 2020 to February 2021 and data were analyzed by Colaizzi’s method. \nResult: The study found five key themes from nurse’s experience in caring for COVID-19 patients with comorbidity that includes fear in caring for COVID-19 patients, being very exhausted, high workloads, getting lesson learn from patients and God who strengthens us. Nurses express fear when caring for COVID-19 patients because of the fast and easy transmission of COVID-19 through droplets. Nurses also feel exhausted because they have to use layered PPE while working. The theme of high workload was revealed because of the influenced on the number of nurses due to the large number of those who contracted COVID-19 while working. The source of strength theme describes nurses as being greatly strengthened by their closeness to God. \nConclusion: This study explores five key themes derived from the expressions of nurses who have experience treating COVID-19 patients with comorbidities. The recommendation from the result of this study suggests that the need for personal support such as motivation and psychology support from family and coworkers so that nurses feel more confident at work. 摘要

2020年,180名COVID-19患者中有89.3%患有合并症。有合并症的患者感染新冠病毒的风险更大,临床表现严重。这一挑战要求护士在治疗伴有合并症的COVID-19患者方面更加关键,以防止并发症和死亡。本研究旨在探讨雅加达市中心私立医院护士对COVID-19合并症患者的护理经验。方法:采用现象学描述设计。采用深度访谈法对12名护士进行数据收集。参与者为在COVID-19病房工作并治疗过合并COVID-19患者的护士,进行有目的抽样。该研究于2020年11月至2021年2月进行,数据采用Colaizzi的方法进行分析。结果:该研究从护士护理COVID-19合并症患者的经历中发现了五个关键主题,包括护理COVID-19患者时的恐惧、非常疲惫、高工作量、从患者那里吸取教训和上帝加强我们。由于新冠病毒通过飞沫传播的速度快,护士在照顾患者时表现出恐惧。护士也感到疲惫,因为他们在工作时必须使用分层的个人防护装备。由于在工作中感染新冠病毒的人数较多,对护士人数产生了影响,因此出现了“工作量大”的主题。力量的源泉主题描述护士因与上帝的亲近而得到极大的力量。结论:本研究从具有治疗新冠肺炎合并症患者经验的护士的表达中挖掘出5个关键主题。本研究结果建议,需要个人支持,如来自家人和同事的动机和心理支持,以使护士在工作中更有信心。如果护士在照顾新冠肺炎患者后感到恐惧或疲惫等精神压力,医院也应该主动接触并提供心理支持。
