The implementation starts from a SLM high-level description and, following a top-down refinement approach, it is refined towards a corresponding Register-transfer level (RTL) model. However, the refinement process is very complex and error prone. Therefore, it is crucial to guarantee the functional consistency between SLM and RTL. This paper presents a multi-thread simulation-based method to check the equivalence between SLM and RTL. The method utilizes multi-thread simulation to improve the efficiency of traditional simulation-based equivalence checking.
