A national study of the knowledge, attitudes and patterns of use of drugs by disadvantaged adolescents.
The first nationwide study of the knowledge, attitudes, and patterns of use of drugs by disadvantaged young people is reported. The unanticipated results indicate that this high risk population is poorly informed about, and disapproves of, drugs, and that its drug use is not epidemic. Implications of the findings for drug programs and future research are discussed.
