The coupling enhancement is achieved in this structure by simply placing an FR4 sheet inside the waveguide. Simulations have been carried out using Ansoft HFSS and CST microwave studio. The antenna radiates with resonant frequency 9.55 GHz and achieves a −10dB impedance bandwidth of 6.06% with a maximum gain of 6.37 dBi.
