Scientific interests of P. F. Gozhik were diverse, but, first he was an outstanding paleontologist and stratigrapher, Quaternary geologist, a renowned researcher of the Neogene — Quaternary fossil freshwater mollusks of the south of Eastern Europe. 乌克兰古生物学、地层学、海洋地质学领域的杰出科学家,乌克兰国家科学技术奖获得者(1989年、2000年),乌克兰科学技术功勋人物(1997年),乌克兰科学院图特科夫斯基奖获得者(2008年),乌克兰科学院地质科学研究所所长(1997 - 2020年),乌克兰古生物学会会长。乌克兰国家地层学委员会主席,国家南极研究中心(原乌克兰国家科学院南极研究中心)创始人和首任主任,地质矿物学博士(1993年),教授(2008年),乌克兰国家科学院院士(2006年)。P. F. Gozhik的科学兴趣是多方面的,但首先他是一位杰出的古生物学家和地层学家,第四纪地质学家,东欧南部新近纪-第四纪淡水软体动物化石的著名研究者。他在第四纪地层学、古地理学、乌克兰大陆和黑海的地质史、第四纪软体动物研究、大陆(冲积、冰川、水冰川、黄土)和河口沉积物方面的著作成为桌上参考书。
