In the current context, the main challenge for the protection of minority languages is not to
be excluded from the challenges that companies place in the context of sustainable development. This
article is a tool, consisting of conceptual considerations, for companies that opt for Corporate Social
Responsibility and for organizations that support them in language management. To this end, on the
one hand, the social responsibility of companies in relation to language will be conceptualized, while
defining the importance of linguistic aspects and the priority level of languages in companies. In addition,
the management of Corporate Social Responsibility will be described, focusing on good practices
with language such as the establishment of dialogue processes, the codification of language practices
and accountability. Finally, the article will also show that, referring to languages, companies should rely
on four elements: the legal approach, the commercial approach, the social responsibility approach and,
finally, the protection approach. • Key words: companies, language, Social Responsability, RSC
