The original intention to propose these improvements mainly focuses on the indexes including speed, area, power and offset, which measure the performance of comparators. Several newly proposed techniques are effective in designs. An improved DOC (dynamic-offsetcancellation) could increase speed and save area; Floating inverter pre-amplifier (FIA) can realize maximizing energy efficiency and reducing noise; Importing on-chip inductors in regenerative comparators has been verified reaching attractive goals successfully. Modifying structures and transistor type is also a feasible approach.
