To achieve the goal, the tasks were solved to determine the conditions for the stay of a fire truck in the I or II category of operation, a mathematical description of these conditions and an algorithm for the stay of the vehicle in the required category of operation were given. Research methods. In the course of the study, methods of operations research and the method of dynamic programming were used. Results and its discussion. An algorithm has been developed that allows, in the course of long-term planning, to ensure the serviceability of fire trucks and their readiness for use for their intended purpose. Conclusion. The results of the study can be used as practical recommendations for officials of the logistics authorities in the long-term planning of the operation of fire trucks of fire and rescue units in modern conditions.
