Photoacoustic Microscopy of Optical Absorption Distribution of Micron-sized Copper Balls
In laser additive manufacturing, the optical absorption characteristics of particles play a fundamental role in its application. As a non-destructive, high resolution, high contrast test method, photoacoustic imaging uses the endogenous optical absorption characteristics of the sample for imaging and obtains the structural and functional information of the sample. In this paper, photoacoustic imaging is utilized to conduct an experimental study on the absorption properties of the micro-sized copper balls. The experimental results show that this method can effectively map the absorption distribution characteristics of micro-particles, which is of great importance for quality control in laser additive manufacturing.
