A novel FSS unit cell contains a strip and ten typical square loops united together to create a dual stop band response. Besides, a PIN-diode is incorporated to alter the transmission/reflection coefficients. The proposed reconfigurable FSS unit cell provides a dual-band response centered at 2.25 GHz and 4.2 GHz.
