Efficient routing strategies for interconnected small scale OXC sub-system networks
We describe two effective routing strategies for a novel photonic node architecture that utilizes interconnected small-scale optical cross-connect (OXC) systems. Simulation results indicated that these strategies can achieve almost the same performance as that of the conventional single large-scale cross-connect.
