Ultra-precision fast tool servo technology is commonly adopted to process free-form optics. However, the surface decomposition algorithm and smoothing algorithm are immature. In this paper, the cutting points of tool path are endowed with timing characteristic based on machining parameters. Thus, the machining path can be put in a quasi four dimensional coordinate system.
