The new configuration is similar to the inverted L antenna and the shorted loop monopole. Using only half the Sierpinski gasket structure, the symmetrical side is folded over to be parallel to the ground plane. While the 50/spl Omega/ feed remains at the apex, a shorting pin is placed at the far end of the gasket.
