Mainly, the costs cannot be afforded in this type of project. In order to solve this issue, the present paper proposes a low cost monitoring system, developed under the European project R2CITIES. In this sense, only a set of dwellings are equipped and, thanks to data-mining techniques, the results are extended to the whole district.
