The first step in the pre-processing stage to be done is cropping, to obtain the Region of Interest (ROI). The next step in the pre-processing stage is image improvement to get image with favorable quality. The extraction stage is conducted in two steps. In the first step the image is processed using the edge detection method. In the second step of the extraction stage we use quantum edge detection to produce the upper edge of inferior mandibular cortex. Then, the lower border of inferior mandibular cortex is projected to obtain a difference between the upper and the lower border of the inferior mandibular cortex. As the result of study, we can identify bone resorption in the inferior mandibular cortex. Resorption of the mandibular cortex is an indication of osteoporosis. 摘要

全景x射线是一种可用于卫生领域的图像,可用于识别颌骨和牙齿中发生的各种疾病和损伤。本研究旨在鉴别下颌骨皮质和检测下颌骨吸收作为骨质疏松症的指示。在该方法中进行了几个阶段。预处理阶段的第一步是裁剪,以获得感兴趣区域(ROI)。预处理阶段的下一步是图像改进,得到质量较好的图像。提取阶段分为两个步骤。在第一步中,使用边缘检测方法处理图像。在第二步提取阶段,我们使用量子边缘检测产生下颌骨皮层的上边缘。然后,投影下颌骨皮层下缘,得到下颌骨皮层上下缘的差值。研究结果表明,我们可以识别下颌骨皮层的骨吸收。下颌骨皮质的吸收是骨质疏松症的一种表现。结论:经过图像处理后的全景x射线图像可以看到颌骨的损伤。
