Surface acoustic wave filters in digital television systems
An overview of current SAW technologies and their application to digital terrestrial, cable, and satellite receiver systems is presented. SAW filters have long been used as TV IF filters, but digital transmission systems bring new application possibilities. Modelling techniques for high frequency design are described along with a discussion of important tradeoffs for use as a replacement or enhancement for baseband DSP functions.
