One of the recent technology that has captured the interest of many service providers is the software defined networking (SDN). This paper presents a detailed study on how next-generation networks are influenced and orchestrated by SDN technologies. The challenges that are encountered in various applications and the benefits of integrating SDN to realize the full potential in various application domains are discussed. A Review of SDN-Based Next Generation Smart Networks
