Four schools were selected using simple random technique and assigned to experimental and control groups. The total population was 5,459 SSII Biology students in Katsina Metropolis, out of which 352 students were purposively sampled using Student Intelligence Quotient Ability Test (SIQAT) and retrospective performance. Cell Performance Test (CPT) was used for data collection. The data was analysed using mean, standard deviation, and independent t-test, the post test result revealed significant difference between slow learners exposed to 7E learning cycle in the experimental group and those exposed to conventional method, 7E group performed significantly better than those in the control group. It was concluded that 7E learning cycle enhance better understanding of cell concepts. 摘要

本研究调查了7E学习周期对尼日利亚卡齐纳大都市高中慢学习者细胞概念表现的影响。采用所罗门四组设计。实验组和对照组分别进行了前测和后测,而另一组只进行了后测。采用简单随机法选取4所学校,分为实验组和对照组。卡齐纳大都市区学生总数为5459人,其中有目的抽样352人,采用学生智商能力测验(SIQAT)和回顾性表现法。使用细胞性能测试(CPT)进行数据收集。采用均值、标准差和独立t检验对数据进行分析,后验结果显示实验组7E学习周期慢学习者与常规方法慢学习者存在显著差异,7E组显著优于对照组。结果表明,7E学习周期能更好地促进对细胞概念的理解。其中一些建议包括:生物教学应该使用7E学习周期,因为它使学生有意义地学习并提高成绩。
