National Identity in the Museum of Saudi Arabia: Focused on the Exhibition Narrative of Al Masmak Museum

This study analyzed the structure of the exhibition narrative, focusing on the Al Masmak Museum, in order to study the national identity shown in the Saudi Arabian museum. The Saudi government has used museums to form a historical identity that can unite people through collective memory and induce them to feel a sense of belonging to the country. The exhibition narrative of the Al Masmak Museum conveys how the Saudi royal family, through their leadership and Islam, unified the Arabian Peninsula and built Saudi Arabia. Through this, the museum encourages Saudi citizens to be patriotic and especially loyal to the Saudi royal family.
