It outlines the present legal structures and tax policies and highlights their inadequacy in encouraging fund managers to domicile the funds in Singapore. Thereafter, this chapter recognizes several promising legislative and regulatory developments that will bolster Singapore’s position as an onshore hub for private equity funds if such developments were actualized.
