The improved analytical method was derived based on the stored magnetic energy. The physical model of the end region was established for calculating the end winding leakage inductance. In the improved analytical method, the active axial permeance factor was introduced for considering the leakage distributed in the active end region. Then three dimensional (3-D) time harmonic finite element analysis (FEA) was performed on a model with all end structures. The magnetic field distribution in the end region was explored and the distribution of the end-winding leakage inductances of the inner plane end windings and outer plane end windings was analyzed. The results of the analysis show that the end-winding leakage inductance decreases when the excitation frequency increases and the changes are nonlinear. 摘要
