Ultrahigh-Q photoinduced microcavities in defect-free photonic crystals
We demonstrate that cavities with Q>;106 can be designed in defect-free photonic crystals made of photosensitive material (chalcogenide). Both positive and negative refractive index change can result in high-Q cavities.
