The corresponding proposals are based both on the achievements of modern radiophysics and on successes in related fields of science, both technical and applied. The relevance of this topic is evidenced by a significant number of publications, both those that have already become classics and modern ones. The introduction contains an overview of remote sensing methods and a brief analysis of the possibilities of using GPR for road surveys.
