Research studies on behaviors and strengths of these members, therefore, have been carried out and original results on cold-rolled aluminium channel columns undergoing global buckling have been obtained. These studies were conducted in Australia. Therefore, the paper will collect these study results on cold-rolled aluminium channel columns, and these results are subsequently compared with the capacities from the Australian Aluminium Standard. The comparisons are carried out by using the reliability analysis as regulated in the American Aluminum Specification; this will be the base to evaluate the Australian/New Zealand Aluminium Standard in the design of cold-rolled aluminium alloy channel columns undergoing global buckling.
