This article briefly introduces and reports the findings of 64 licensed social workers and counselors who participated in the Hurt Pounds: A Biopsychosocial-spiritual study. The Hurt Pounds study examined the potential Biopsychosocial-Spiritual (BPSS) relationship between self-com-passion, forgiveness, disordered eating, body image and body appreciation of licensed counselors and social workers as aspects of self-care. The article also introduces the theoretical framework on which the workshop was built and includes the practical applications of the BPSS model.
