Performance of diode-pumped Yb:CALGO and Yb:KYW lasers
Diode-pumped Yb:KYW and Yb:CALGO lasers using a similar experimental setup were investigated. The lasers produced continuous-wave radiation with $>8\mathrm {W}$ of average output power. In terms of thermal lensing, however, Yb:CALGO laser showed a much better behavior.
