Interline Power Flow Controller (IPFC) is a novel FACTS device with an exceptional ability to control power flow among multiline transmission system unlike the other devices in which they are used to manage and compensate single transmission line. This paper attempts to reduce power deviation in a particular transmission line utilizing IPFC by adjusting angles and magnitudes of the series voltage source converters representing IPFC. To the best of our knowledge, there has been no clear study till now proposes employing IPFC to this application. A case-study is presented at the end of this investigation with the aim of simulating the ability of this device to maintain the power flow in a transmission line unchanged. Differential Evolution is employed to optimize the control parameters.
