Although the topic of IoT security (and previously the security of wireless sensor networks) has been reviewed extensively, we believe that the topic deserves a more in-depth examination towards a more systematic threat analysis, which is not only necessary to better understand the threats against IoT-based systems, but also paves the way to effectively improve the security of IoT-based systems by integrating with the blockchain technology.
