Transient stability enhancement of a microgrid consisting of solar PV and DFIG based wind turbine system using Bridge type SFCL
The reliability of the power system can be enhanced in a microgrid by connecting different types of distribution generation sources. Due to the adding of different types of distribution generation sources the power systems are getting larger day by day. As a result, there will be excessive fault current in the system. As superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) has negligible power loss and capacity to limit the fault currents, the microgrid can be protected from excessive fault current by connecting SFCL into the microgrid with distribution generation sources. In this paper transient stability enhancement of a microgrid consisting of solar PV and DFIG based wind turbine system using Bridge type SFCL has been modeled in MATLAB\ Simulink and satisfactory results has been obtained.
