Multi-input multi-output (MIMO) TWR exploit spatial diversity to improve the target detection performance of TWR in indoor environments. MIMO TWR combined with compressive sensing (CS) enable good performance while reducing the number of samples needed for target estimation and the data acquisition time. In previous MIMO TWR approaches, all antennas transmit the same waveforms in a time-division access fashion.
