In patients with preserved ovarian-menstrual function, luminal B (Her-2-positive) subtype in 37.5% of cases is associated with increased estradiol content. Luminal B (Her-2-negative) subtype is associated with increased blood levels of estradiol, progesterone, and prolactin in 100% of patients. The Her-2 / neu-positive subtype is associated with decreased serum estradiol levels in 33% of patients and decreased progesterone levels in 83% of patients.
