Where It Is Thin, There It Breaks or a Retrospective Analysis of the History of Corruption

This article is devoted to the study of corruption in Uzbekistan. The authors focus on the historical aspects of the development of the phenomenon of corruption, which allowed us to reveal not only the genesis of the issue, but also to identify the circumstances that affect its immediate state in modern Uzbekistan. On the basis of the historical method, the diversity of forms and manifestations of corruption is traced. This method allows us to generalize the collected empirical material. Since the authors collected materials on the study of the history of corruption from documentary sources that had survived to this day, the logical method was also used, complementing the historical approach. Through this publication, the authors draw the reader’s attention to the fact that historical retrospect helps to prevent mistakes and build a well-thought-out anti-corruption strategy in the future.
