Theoretical analysis reveals the relationship between oscillation frequency of neutral bus voltage and grounding electrode line inductance. By taking the line model and its frequency dependent characteristics into consideration, the relation between the frequency and the fault distance of the grounding electrode line is established to realize the fault location algorithm.
