The MLD model for WECS including multiple work regions is established. Also the hybrid model predictive control method based on the MLD model of WECS is adopted to implement the variable speed constant frequency control and variable pitch control for the optimal power tracking. The mixed logic dynamic fault (MLDF) model is also established for generator speed sensor fault and the pitch actuator fault of WECS. Moving horizon estimation (MHE) method is applied to estimate the fault states of WECS based on MLDF model of WECS.
