: The bamboo and rattan craftsmanship has a long history and presents different aesthetics in different historical stages. Although the craftsmanship and aesthetic taste of bamboo and rattan at home and abroad are similar in form due to cultural differences, the essence of beauty always presents common characteristics. Bamboo and rattan craftsmanship have been included in the National Intangible Heritage List. As an artifact civilization born in Chinese culture, it is also influenced by the aesthetic interests of the East. Explore the development process of bamboo and rattan craftsmanship and the multi-faceted aesthetics, and pursuing the aesthetic pursuit of design in bamboo and rattan, in order to pursue the connotation of “the instrument to carry the road”. Based on this, the paper explores the innovative inheritance path of bamboo and rattan craftsmanship.
