The proposed scheme is realized using two two-level, three-phase voltage source inverters feeding a transformer with open-end primary windings. In this scheme one inverter is fed by a PV source intended only for supplying active power whereas and the other inverter which supplies only reactive power is fed by a charged capacitor. The current oriented synchronous reference frame based closed loop control scheme ensures that the active power is supplied from one inverter and the reactive power from the other. The entire scheme is simulated on a MATLAB/Simulink platform.
