Dental diseases in children are a serious public health problem. The purpose of the work is to consider the methodological features of \nthe organization of educational activities among preschool and school-age children aimed at the formation \nof dental literacy and skills of proper oral care. \nMaterials and methods. The features of methodological approaches to the organization of educational \nactivities among preschool and school-age children on dental literacy and oral care have been studied by \ngeneralizing the data available in the scientific literature on the topic of dental literacy of the population. To \nidentify the factors and consequences of the formation and maintenance of oral care practices, the method \nof causal relationship analysis was applied. \nResults. The study showed that the knowledge and skills in the field of dental health should begin to \nbe formed from preschool age.
